About the Author

Linda Conrad is a U.S. Army veteran, author of The Pickleball Essentials, and creator of the Pickleball And Longevity™ (PAL) Program. She is also a JOOLA Sponsored Coach and PPR-certified instructor.

What began as a guide to help players—especially adults 50+—navigate the game, the courts, and the culture of pickleball has evolved into a structured wellness program focused on mobility, safety, confidence, and long-term participation.

Based in North Texas, Linda partners with HOAs, veterans programs, and recreation organizations to deliver PAL programming that helps adults 50+ stay active, reduce injury risk, and build community through guided pickleball play.

My Story

Why this program exists?

When arthritis made high-impact sports painful, I turned to pickleball—and it changed everything. The sport transformed how I moved, stayed active, and approached competition, showing me that longevity matters more than power alone.

That experience became the foundation for my book, The Pickleball Essentials, and ultimately the Pickleball And Longevity™ (PAL) Program—a smarter, safer approach to the game that emphasizes fundamentals, joint protection, and confidence on the court.

As a U.S. Army veteran and lifelong athlete, I bring structure, discipline, and intentionality to every PAL program. The focus isn’t quick fixes, but helping adults 50+ stay active, move safely, and enjoy the game for years to come.

PAL Program Built on Real Experience

Real-world experience, high-level exposure, and community engagement shape how the PAL Program is designed and delivered.
